A HEART TRANSPLANT AT GILGAL PART 5, GOING HIGHER STILL! By Robin Kirby-Gatto 8/10/11 In order to have this note come forth in great effectiveness it is necessary to read A HEART TRANSPLANT AT GILGAL, PART 4, GOING HIGHER because it precedes this note. Therefore, let us continue from the last note regarding how to go from glory to glory with the Lord. As stated in the prior note there is always a releasing by Holy Spirit to promote us into the next level of glory when we have been faithful to serve God’s house and come forth as a sweet fragrance for Christ Jesus as the sin nature and flesh have been crucified. The next level of glory we see Elisha go to is when Elijah leaves Jericho and goes across the Jordan. 6Elijah said to him, Tarry here, I pray you, for the Lord has sent me to the Jordan. But he said, As the Lord lives and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. And the two of them went on. 7Fifty men of the sons of the prophets also went and stood [to watch] afar off; and the two of them stood by the Jordan. 2 Kings 2:6-7 AMP. Elijah leaves Jericho to go to Jordan, where he will be caught up by The Lord in a whirlwind. Prior to going across the Jordan Elijah tells Elisha to tarry still in Jericho while he goes to Jordan. Elisha continues telling Elijah he would not leave him, as long as Elijah’s soul lives. Jordan in Hebrew means to descend. Therefore, in order to go higher from glory to glory we have to maintain a position of humility with Holy Spirit, being crucified with Christ Jesus, where it is no longer I that live but Christ in me!!!!!! We have been crucified with Christ Jesus and raised up with Him, to be seated with Him in heavenly places! At this point we see the other prophets standing “afar off” and are no longer within an earshot from Elisha to tell him the Lord would be taking away Elijah. This indicates that God will not allow the flesh to come near His Holy Temple and only those who have yielded to the work of Holy Spirit and the fullness of God’s preparations for the Call, the destiny, come forth in crucifying the flesh nature, nature of man. When we get to this phase in the call of God on our life, very few people walk here. The best indicator by God’s Word in demonstrating the separation of those whom He is taking higher is identified in Zechariah 4. 1AND THE angel who talked with me came again and awakened me, like a man who is wakened out of his sleep. 2And said to me, What do you see? I said, I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with its bowl [for oil] on the top of it and its seven lamps on it, and [there are] seven pipes to each of the seven lamps which are upon the top of it. 3And there are two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl and the other upon the left side of it [feeding it continuously with oil]. 4So I asked the angel who talked with me, What are these, my lord? 5Then the angel who talked with me answered me, Do you not know what these are? And I said, No, my lord. 6Then he said to me, This [addition of the bowl to the candlestick, causing it to yield a ceaseless supply of oil from the olive trees] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of Whom the oil is a symbol], says the Lord of hosts. 7For who are you, O great mountain [of human obstacles]? Before Zerubbabel [who with Joshua had led the return of the exiles from Babylon and was undertaking the rebuilding of the temple, before him] you shall become a plain [a mere molehill]! And he shall bring forth the finishing gable stone [of the new temple] with loud shoutings of the people, crying, Grace, grace to it! 8Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 9The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundations of this house; his hands shall also finish it. Then you shall know (recognize and understand) that the Lord of hosts has sent me [His messenger] to you. 10Who [with reason] despises the day of small things? For these seven shall rejoice when they see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel. [These seven] are the eyes of the Lord which run to and fro throughout the whole earth.11Then I said to him [the angel who talked with me], What are these two olive trees on the right side of the lampstand and on the left side of it? 12And a second time I said to him, What are these two olive branches which are beside the two golden tubes or spouts by which the golden oil is emptied out? 13And he answered me, Do you not know what these are? And I said, No, my lord. 14Then said he, These are the two sons of oil [Joshua the high priest and Zerubbabel the prince of Judah, the two anointed ones] who stand before the Lord of the whole earth [as His anointed instruments]. Zechariah 4:1-14 AMP. Here the prophet Zechariah had been having a vision from the Lord and engaging in conversation with an angel of the Lord regarding the vision’s message. One thing Zechariah saw was a lampstand with seven bowls on top of it and two olive trees, one on each side of the lampstand, feeding it with an unceasing supply of oil. This indicates the fullness of Holy Spirit, The Spirit of the Lord, Might, Counsel, Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding, and The Fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2) within the vessel flowing unhindered. This is the anointing of God’s fullness through Holy Spirit that has been brought forth in the vessel set aside for His purposes and plans. Zechariah 4:14 states the two olive trees are the “sons of oil” who stand before the Lord of the whole earth. Therefore, the anointing, the oil, of Holy Spirit in us has been brought forth as we have been faithful in the little and not despised the day of our small beginnings, yielding to the working of Christ Jesus in us coming forth from glory to glory that God has separated us from the flesh and brought us to Himself, bringing us up a dimension of glory that others have not reached yet. (It is our desire to continue to go from glory to glory all the days of our lives! Therefore once we have met this process once we will continually go back to Gilgal for a deeper heart circumcision and maintain a position of being crucified with Christ Jesus! Therefore we see Elijah and Elisha separate from the rest of the prophets and go across to the other side of the Jordan. 8And Elijah took his mantle and rolled it up and struck the waters, and they divided this way and that, so that the two of them went over on dry ground. 9And when they had gone over, Elijah said to Elisha, Ask what I shall do for you before I am taken from you. And Elisha said, I pray you, let a double portion of your spirit be upon me. 2 Kings 2: 8-9 AMP. In 2 Kings 2 Elijah then takes up the mantle, rolls it up and strikes at the water! This is symbolic of the God having removed (rolled away) the reproach from our souls now gives us overcoming power that we start walking in signs and wonders by God’s Holy Spirit bringing us forth into the destiny of God on our lives! Elijah strikes the waters of the Jordan and the two of them cross over on dry ground! This is the same thing the priests did as they carried the Ark of the Covenant, they stepped into the Jordan and Israel crossed over on dry ground! Now the Ark of Covenant, God has infused into our being, as in Elijah, that we now carry God’s presence! We have increased in the presence of Christ Jesus we carry within ourselves! Next, Elijah asks Elisha what he would have Elijah do to him. Elisha requests a double portion of “your spirit” be upon me! What this request is in actuality is Elisha saying that I want more of God than you have! I want your God Elijah but I want Him in a double portion! People think Elisha is after the mantle! LOL!!! But watch, watch what is asked of Elisha and what He cries out. 10He said, You have asked a hard thing. However, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you--but if not, it shall not be so. 11As they still went on and talked, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire parted the two of them, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 12And Elisha saw it and he cried, My father, my father! The chariot of Israel and its horsemen! And he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces. 13He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan. 14And he took the mantle that fell from Elijah and struck the waters and said, Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah? And when he had struck the waters, they parted this way and that, and Elisha went over. 2 Kings 2: 10-14 AMP. Then Elijah responds you have asked a HARD THING! It is a HARD THING when you get closer to God and as you see God move in great signs and wonders that we have to KEEP THE MAIN THING THE MAIN THING! This is when the soul is exposed to the light and once we get to this level of glory if we seek the signs and wonders, fame, blessings or THE ONE THAT GIVES IT ALL TO US! That is the last test Elisha had to pass! He had to be tested to see if there was any part of himself that might want the power, fame, or blessings more than he wanted God. That is why the test was that if Elisha would keep His eyes on Elijah, as Elijah said “IF YOU SEE ME, WHEN I AM TAKEN UP” that Elisha would have what he asked for from the prophet. We see the biggest show on earth as the heavens open and a chariot of fire and horses of fire parted the two men. There were more visual stimuli and auditory sounds than we could ever imagine! It was the supernatural manifesting in the natural! Elisha in the midst of it all, when Elijah went up in the whirlwind to heaven kept his eyes on Elijah and not the visual and auditory supernatural events of the chariot and horses of fire! He kept his eyes fixed on Elijah! Immediately Elisha cries out “My father, my father! The Chariot of Israel and its horseman!” He kept his eyes fixed on Elijah although the supernatural was continually manifesting before him in this catching away of Elijah. Immediately after Elijah is taken away by God Elisha takes his own clothes and tears them in pieces. This ripping off of the old mantle that Elisha does demonstrates that the love of God within us compels us to go further and pick up the mantle, receive the mantle, He has for us. The mantle of the prophet Elijah is left behind for the prophet Elisha to pick up and go forth. Elisha picks of the mantle and struck the Waters of the Jordan, saying WHERE IS THE LORD, THE GOD OF ELIJAH?! That is what Elisha was after!!!! Elisha was after the God of Elijah, the God that was made real to him by one who had prepared his spirit in receiving more of God! The waters parted as it had before for Elijah and Elisha crosses over with the new mantle and new authority! Then we see the process as Elisha crosses back over and goes to the different areas in which he and Elijah had come from. Remember the further we get away from the Jordan the more immature the people are of that area. Therefore, those who are in Jericho, the prophets, are more mature than those found in Bethel because we go from glory to glory and those in Bethel have not passed the test of being faithful with a little yet and have not moved forward to Jericho. 15When the sons of the prophets who were [watching] at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha. And they came to meet him and bowed themselves to the ground before him. 16And they said to him, Behold now, there are among your servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray you, and seek your master. It may be that the Spirit of the Lord has taken him up and cast him on some mountain or into some valley. And he said, You shall not send. 17But when they urged him till he was embarrassed, he said, Send. So they sent fifty men, who sought for three days but did not find him. 18When they returned to Elisha, who had waited at Jericho, he said to them, Did I not tell you, Do not go? 2 Kings 2:15-18 AMP. The prophets in Jericho could not believe first that Elijah had been taken up but they acknowledged the “spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” There is an indication that they acknowledged Elisha had gone up in a higher anointing, God has promoted Elisha to another level of glory! Then as they begin to speak to Elisha they still maintain a position of servanthood although they have been promoted because the greatest in the kingdom is servant of all. They indicate to Elisha that he has 50 servants to his access should he need them and request permission to go look for Elijah. However, these prophets have not come to a position of humility of being crucified with Christ Jesus and tried to step outside of God’s authority to prove they were right. This happens on occasion when someone has gone higher in the Lord, higher in the anointing, from glory to glory. Those who are used to seeing someone like Elisha serve and go through the process God requires, when promotion comes, then many are thrown off because they are used to you being in the lower position you went through to get to where you are now. They do not want to acknowledge God’s authority on you so they challenge the word of the Lord through you and are determined to prove they are right; they have not become acclimated with the promotion of the Lord in your life. The prophets insist they are right and so much so to the point Elisha gives them permission to go look for Elijah, and Elisha rests at Jericho until they return and state they did not find him. It is so funny because it is as though Elisha does an “I told you so” to the prophets that challenged God’s authority in him. When they get back to Jericho to report to Elisha they could not find Elijah he says to them “Did I not tell you, do not go.” God’s word in Elisha is being confirmed and honored by God and now they recognize it for what it truly is, Elisha was promoted by God! In Bethel after God in Elisha is honored, the anointing that rests on Elisha, then the prophets identified areas in which there was a need for God to show up in Jericho. 19And the men of the city said to Elisha, Behold, inhabiting of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees, but the water is bad and the locality causes miscarriage and barrenness [in all animals]. 20He said, Bring me a new bowl and put salt [the symbol of God's purifying power] in it. And they brought it to him. 21Then Elisha went to the spring of the waters and cast the salt in it and said, Thus says the Lord: I [not the salt] have healed these waters; there shall not be any more death, miscarriage or barrenness [and bereavement] because of it. 22So the waters were healed to this day, as Elisha had said. One of the first manifestations of going to this level of glory is flowing in healing of the body, soul and spirit. The men of Jericho told Elisha that there was barrenness due to the defiled waters that flowed throughout the city. Elisha calls forth for salt where God heals the waters and stops the barrenness. Therefore, as we are salt of the earth we go forth in bringing the manifestation of Isaiah 61, to heal the broken hearted, bind them up with God’s Holy Spirit manifesting life and life abundantly, removing the curse of death in every area we come into contact. Let us look at another area too where God brings judgment on those who touch His anointed and bring harm to His prophets. 23He went up from Jericho to Bethel. On the way, young [maturing and accountable] boys came out of the city and mocked him and said to him, Go up [in a whirlwind], you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead! 24And he turned around and looked at them and called a curse down on them in the name of the Lord. And two she-bears came out of the woods and ripped up forty-two of the boys. 25Elisha went from there to Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria. The young boys in the city of Bethel, the House of God, The Church, not the world mind you, were mocking Elisha and taunting him. However, what they truly were doing was taunting the God of Elisha. Therefore, after continued mocking and profaning Elisha, Elisha turns around, indicating that he had to pass by them before he looked at them. Therefore, he had been enduring mocking for a period not just an instant before he spoke. When Elisha does speak he calls a curse down on them “in the name of the Lord.” At that moment two she-bears rip up 42 of the boys. Here the word has 4 indicating authority and 2 a witness. Therefore, there was a witness to the authority of God that Elisha walked in to those present. The she-bears is very obvious in that if you mess with a bear’s cub the mama bear does not put up with it. That is indicative of God who has scorn against satan who uses vessels and instruments as a device to come against God’s anointed. 1 Chronicles 16:22 and Psalm 105:15 “Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm.” This is why many are under judgment because they are coming against God’s anointed and doing them harm.
