Meeting at Gilgal Part 2 “A Heart Transplant at Gilgal” by Robin Kirby-Gatto 7/28/11 Laying there wrecked in the middle of the overwhelming joy of Christ’s joy being made complete in me left me wrecked and undone as waves of glory continued to go throughout my being the evening of July 19, 2011. I was still lying on the floor prostrate, unable to move under God’s weighty glory for a while until I was released by His grace. Once God released me from that place I found myself completely as if I had been in a car wreck and I completely and utterly crashed into GOD!!! I crashed into all of His goodness, His love and His glory in that encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. It was in this same place that God had been plowing deeper within my soul to bring a release of His glory the Saturday night that I was preaching at The Cave, July 23, 2011. This place God said was Gilgal, a place whereby, God would remove the reproach of parts of my soul that had tormented me for years and pulled on my emotions making it difficult at times to do what I wanted to do and find myself doing the very thing I did not want to do, such as Paul the Apostle. It was that old sin nature trying to rise up in me that was at times pulling on my emotions from years past where the enemy had sowed a lie into my soul. God had given me an understanding of this a few weeks earlier during another encounter, in my time with the Lord, in which I saw a six year-old girl standing before a big table and with determination and concentration she kept pounding on articles that were on the table saying over and over again “Bad! Bad! Bad! Bad! Bad!” I was shocked at the sight I was seeing and the Lord told me “Robin that is you.” I was shocked and said “Me, God how can that be?” Then He responded that is the part of you that controls much of what you believe to be “insecurity” and in actuality is a lie in your soul that started as a mole hill and finally grew into a mountain. That part of your soul you have to bring into the light to where I bring My healing Light to you and remove the reproach of the sin nature from you. God had started this process right before I started teaching a series on Psalm 23 – Psalm 31, where God was taking me into the thrones of my soul in which He wanted to bring healing and wholeness so He would be in complete Lordship over my life. As I did yield to the Lord and what He told me I then agreed to bring that part of my soul into the Light and all of a sudden I felt healing waves of glory run over me time and time again removing the reproach of Egypt away from my soul that pulled on my emotions. When I did I felt God fully remove iniquitous roots from my soul as He did back in 2002 when He delivered me completely from being an alcoholic. He totally removed all desire and the reproach of drinking/addiction from me in 2002 when His liquid glory poured over me and started removing the residue of the alcoholism from my physical body. Prior to 2002 I could not sleep on sheets without them being bleached by the alcohol that went through my pores onto the sheets making an outline of my body time after time again no matter what sheets I bought, Tommy Hilfiger, Indian Cotton Sheets no matter what It was totally bleached that I would breakdown and buy white sheets so I wouldn’t worry as to the bleaching my body would cause. God in a single moment removed that reproach in 2002 and forever set me free that there was no desire for alcohol from that moment forward. I could not comprehend or conceive of any desire to drink another beer ever again; God removed it!!! Likewise, God removed the reproach away from me of feeling like a “bad girl” where the enemy of my soul had rooted that lie into me and continued to have me operate from that mode of being that I truly would be controlled at times by others due to their disproval of me at times or care in some small way what others thought. When God set me free from this place of feeling like a “bad girl” I truly became FREE!!!! I got radical I tell you More Radical and FREE!!!! (As if you can imagine that LOL!) I had a new found freedom of God from this deeper circumcision of my heart whereby I would let Him take me into places of my own heart that prior to this time I never considered or thought would be an issue. Continually over the last month God has been taking me to places in my soul that I didn’t know that were at enmity to God and held on to the lie of the enemy where God had to show me the truth of the matter and I repented, giving everything to God and allowing His healing love to infuse me. As I did God showed me a king in the word that did not have success and would not allow God to remove the reproach at Gilgal. Remember the whole purpose of Gilgal is to allow God to remove the reproach of our sin nature, Egypt, out of us and purify our hearts. As I did allow God to remove the reproach it was a part wherein He completely ruled as Lord over that part of my soul and the sin nature was removed in order that satan would not have anything in me as it relates to that part of my soul. As Jesus said to His disciples, satan had nothing in Him, in Jesus. Likewise, we are going through the same process whereby God is purging our souls bringing us to a place where all the hooks of the enemy are removed and there are no hooks he has in us. Gilgal is a place of testing of whether or not we will allow God to remove the reproach away from us or whether or not we decide we want our agenda and not God’s agenda, we want our will and not God’s will that we take things into our hands to “make it happen.” I am not talking about obeying the Lord; I am talking about when we choose to promote “our kingdom” and “ourselves” instead of God promoting us. Promotion only comes from the Lord. I have had people in ministry amazed at my ministry opportunities across the world and ask me who the pastors or ministers are in the locations and how I got connected to them and all I can say is God! It is only God! No man can say they have helped me, no ministry, no one, not even me, lol!! The only One who got me here is God! This is what I had learned many years prior to this year but knowing the test so well it gave me opportunity to see the test that King Saul went through at Gilgal (the place where God removes the reproach, not man) and seeing the failure of King Saul, and what it lead to. This is identified in 1 Samuel 13. 1SAUL WAS [forty] years old when he began to reign; and when he had reigned two years over Israel, 2Saul chose 3,000 men of Israel; 2,000 were with [him] in Michmash and the hill country of Bethel, and 1,000 with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin. The rest of the men he sent away, each one to his home. 3Jonathan smote the Philistine garrison at Geba, and the Philistines heard of it. And Saul blew the trumpet throughout all the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear! 4All Israel heard that Saul had defeated the Philistine garrison and also that Israel had become an abomination to the Philistines. And the people were called out to join Saul at Gilgal. 5And the Philistines gathered to fight with Israel, 30,000 chariots and 6,000 horsemen and troops like sand on the seashore in multitude. They came up and encamped at Michmash, east of Beth-aven. 6When the men of Israel saw that they were in a tight situation--for their troops were hard pressed--they hid in caves, holes, rocks, tombs, and pits or cisterns. 7Some Hebrews had gone over the Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was still in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling. 8Saul waited seven days, according to the set time Samuel had appointed. But Samuel had not come to Gilgal, and the people were scattering from Saul. 9So Saul said, Bring me the burnt offering and the peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering [which he was forbidden to do]. 10And just as he finished offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came! Saul went out to meet and greet him. 11Samuel said, What have you done? Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattering from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines were assembled at Michmash, 12I thought, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the Lord. So I forced myself to offer a burnt offering. 13And Samuel said to Saul, You have done foolishly! You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God which He commanded you; for the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever; 14But now your kingdom shall not continue; the Lord has sought out [David] a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be prince and ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you. 1 Samuel 13:1-14 Amplified. King Saul was at Gilgal when there was a test to see whether or not he would wait upon the Lord or whether or not he would take matters into his own hands. King Saul’s men met him at Gilgal where King Saul was instructed to wait upon the prophet Samuel to offer the burnt offering before they were to go into battle. However, when King Saul saw his men scattering and felt “pressure” on his soul he then “forces himself” (give me a break, but that is the excuse our flesh has, we forced ourselves) to do what he was forbidden to do. King Saul wanted to promote his own kingdom and not the kingdom of God that is why he acted the way he did in the flesh and it cost him everything! It cost him his kingdom! The prophet Samuel said to Saul, “what have done?” and Saul’s reply was “I forced myself to offer a burnt offering.” Samuel’s reply to Saul was You have done foolishly and as a result the Lord would no longer establish him as King but rather would find one WHO IS AFTER HIS OWN HEART, THE HEART OF GOD! King David did not want his own heart but rather wanted the heart of God that is why he was being promoted to king because King David never promoted himself, rather it was God that promoted King David and God took him from glory to glory in establishing David’s Kingdom, where Jesus would reign as King forever on the throne of David established in justice and righteousness. (Isaiah 9:7). Saul was not after God’s heart but merely his kingdom and as a result he lost the very thing he tried to establish. The heart of King Saul was exposed at Gilgal when his impatience to wait on the Lord demonstrated his deceitful heart. Gilgal is a testing of our souls, whether or not we are serving God for our own kingdoms or if we are serving God for Himself! This brought me back to the place on the beach the morning of July 22, 2011 prior to preaching at The Cave that night where God told me that He was offering me a choice, and only one of the three was what I could pick and what I pick that He said He would do. He said “Robin, pick one, I could make you a great teacher of My Word, or I could make you a great prophet, or I could make you a great lover. Which of these do you pick and that will I do?” My immediate response is God I want to be Your great lover! Then He showed me throwing down crowns at His feet and said these are all Mine anyway, prophet, teacher, evangelist, pastor, and apostle (the fivefold ministry offices) they are My crowns to give God told me and I said they are all Yours anyway God take them!!! But great lover God!!! Great lover that is mine for you!!! That is my fruit, my crown to willingly pick up and lay down at your feet over and over and over again. King Saul, wanted all the titles, all the accolades!!!! King David only wanted God’s heart!!!! King Saul wanted the crown!!! King David wanted the One that gave the crown! King Saul wanted the treasures of the Kingdom! King David wanted the One that gave the treasure, for God was King David’s great reward as He was to Father Abraham!!!! God is the inheritance of the priesthood which is why the priest was not given land as an inheritance because God Himself was the inheritance for the priesthood! King David was a true priest of the Lord, He was a servant that ministered to God! Therefore, King Saul did not have the reproach of the sin nature removed from him but rather chose to keep it and as a result lost it all! He lost the kingdom to which God would have established him but his heart was found to be after promoting himself rather than promoting and ministering to God. This time at Gilgal is to determine whose kingdom we want. Do we want our kingdom, our ministry, our life, our home, our everything or do we simply want the One we love so desperately!!!! OUR LORD AND SAVIOR!!! JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it is the latter which it is if you are reading this then be confident that God is doing a deeper work at Gilgal this turn because as you we see in notes to come there is a CONTINUAL RETURNING TO GILGAL TIME AND TIME AND TIME AGAIN!! A CONTINUAL LODGING AND CAMPING OUT WITH GOD!!! Each time God gets deeper in our soul at Gilgal to simply expose to ourselves the deeper circumcision that needs to take place whereby He can remove the reproach of our sin nature, therefore transplanting His own heart into our frame, so that we can be giant killers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To be continued! Love you!!!! Robin Kirby-Gatto Pray this if you want to go deeper: (A warning it will happen!) Dear Lord, remove all the reproach from me in this hour that is in need of being removed from my soul Lord. God I ask You to expose to the light anything that is hindering me from fully giving myself over to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in every area of my soul. I only want You to be Lord in my life and if there are any areas where I might be trying to be lord I ask you to expose it to the light and forgive me in Jesus Name! I repent for any areas in which I have not fully yielded to Your Lordship King Jesus and ask that you remove that sin nature out of me and remove the reproach forever with all the residue from that sin nature being removed, as well. I only ask that God I receive Your heart, Your presence, Your Love, and Your Light in me in Jesus Name! I ask You God to continue the work on me at this time during this lodging of my soul at Gilgal and complete it fully Lord in Jesus Name! Amen! Copyright © 2011.
