The Attack of Behemoth and Leviathan and the Judgments of God. Part 2 By Robin Kirby-Gatto 5/26/11 The attack of Behemoth coincides with the attack of Leviathan because they are one in the same according to Jewish history. Moreover, the description of Leviathan is the very next chapter in Job 41 after the Behemoth is described in Job 40. We will get into this further in the next note. The whole purpose of the attack of Behemoth and Leviathan is to work a work of Christ in you even though you are going through the attack. The attack from the demonic spirit works to your good because God allows you to move through this attack letting all the vile things not of God come out of your soul. The attack of Leviathan coming against you has opportunity to expose any pride in which you might have in your soul that God needs to deliver you from. On the other hand the attack of Behemoth provides opportunity for God to deliver you from all self-righteousness. In order to walk into our destiny, God’s plans and purposes for your lives we have to be delivered of self-righteousness where the enemy can get a foothold thereby pulling us down later on as we go higher in the Lord. It is so grieving to my spirit when I see a great man or woman of God that has been walking in the demonstration of the Word and Power to get to a place where they fall. The book Daniel states that these times will come in the future and last February 2010 God gave me a scripture in Daniel and stated this would begin to happen in the body of Christ, stating many of God’s people were going through trials and tribulations that were revealing their heart motives and intentions. 33And they who are wise and understanding among the people shall instruct many and make them understand, though some [of them and their followers] shall fall by the sword and flame, by captivity and plunder, for many days. 34Now when they fall, they shall receive a little help. Many shall join themselves to them with flatteries and hypocrisies. 35And some of those who are wise, prudent, and understanding shall be weakened and fall, [thus, then, the insincere among the people will lose courage and become deserters. It will be a test] to refine, to purify, and to make those among [God's people] white, even to the time of the end, because it is yet for the time [God] appointed. Daniel 11:33-35 AMP. The focus Holy Spirit showed me is on Daniel 11:35, that there is a time in which God’s people would be purified to such measure that the insincere among God’s people would be exposed to the light and fall away. However, in the refining, the place of purification also the Lord’s true worshipers who worship Him in spirit and truth would be made white, pure. Therefore, the testing that we as a body of believers would go through would involve going through the attack of Leviathan and Behemoth as well because in the midst of the attack we become white as snow. Therefore let us go into further details about the attack of Behemoth. 15 “Look now at the behemoth, which I made along with you; He eats grass like an ox. 16 See now, his strength is in his hips, And his power is in his stomach muscles. 17 He moves his tail like a cedar; The sinews of his thighs are tightly knit. 18 His bones are like beams of bronze, His ribs like bars of iron. 19 He is the first of the ways of God; Only He who made him can bring near His sword. 20 Surely the mountains yield food for him, And all the beasts of the field play there. 21 He lies under the lotus trees, In a covert of reeds and marsh. 22 The lotus trees cover him with their shade; The willows by the brook surround him.23 Indeed the river may rage, Yet he is not disturbed; He is confident, though the Jordan gushes into his mouth, 24 Though he takes it in his eyes, Or one pierces his nose with a snare. Job 40:15-24 NKJV. It was mentioned in the first note that the attack of Behemoth is focused on the loins/hips, thus signifying being girded with the belt of Truth. Therefore, the demonic attack is to attack the truth that we have eaten of by God’s Word, Jesus, being illumined in us by God’s Holy Spirit. Therefore, the regurgitation of the spirit of Behemoth focuses on eating up words but they are not anointed. Satan even knows God’s Word but the words are to manipulate and are twisted so as to be deceptive and untrue. Therefore, we have to counter this attack by being rooted in God’s Word, rooted and grounded in the Love of Christ Jesus. The tail of Behemoth signifies strength of a sledge hammer whereby he comes to bash/crush the hopes of God in us. It is an attack of Jeremiah 29:11-13, God’s plans and purposes to give us a hope and a future, and us searching for God with all of heart, mind, soul and strength. It is coming against the Joy of the Lord which is our strength. God has specifically given us a destiny and it is already written in His book before we were ever born, as we see in Psalm 139:16 AMP. “16Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them.” God wants us to be awakened to the Kingdom of God within us so that we tap into His will, His plans and purposes for our lives. Satan uses the attack of Behemoth to come after us and make us doubt and question God’s plans for our lives and the tail of cedar is such that it swings and bashes what we believe in what we have been given by God. For example, let’s say God gave you a ministry to start for single mothers and you believed for that expected end. As you continued to serve God and step out in helping single mothers all of a sudden someone that is more studied in the word, has been in ministry for a longer time working with women and has many gifts of the Holy Spirit operating tells you that you are not able to minister to single mothers. That is a bash from the enemy. Also, the enemy might speak a lie saying “who do you think you are helping single mothers when you are the worst mother in the world.” It can come anyway the enemy decides to bring it. I have even have people that were not in our ministry for 22 IS 22 (Isaiah 22:22 Company) message me and give me “a word” they got from the Lord supposedly and it did not testify and totally missed the mark and was meant to bring discouragement. What I choose to do is use wisdom in who I tell anything to in regards to what God has spoken to me so the dreams in which God has given me and my husband are not trampled to the ground. This is where you have to “know that you know that you know that you heard from God.” Moreover, where the tail is linked in Behemoth to the animal’s thighs indicates strength, which the devil is going after your strength; THE JOY OF THE LORD. (Nehemiah 8:10). I have heard someone put it well that if the devil can steal your joy he can steal your goods. Therefore, usually the demonic spirit attacks God’s people that as we are coming into a time of blessings even that he will hit you with discouragement and ungodly grief so that we are not rejoicing in the blessings that God has given us. Behemoth will attack through trying to steal your joy when you get blessings. For example, if God is telling you to move in a home and you begin to rejoice at the favor of God opening a door, Behemoth would attack by telling you “well IF it is God…..” all I have to say to that is YES IT IS GOD AND DO NOT LET THE ENEMY STEAL YOUR JOY! 18 His bones are like beams of bronze, His ribs like bars of iron. (Job 40:18 NKJV). This part of the description of Behemoth indicates the captivity in which satan wants to bring you if he can steal your joy and crush the dreams God has given you. We see this when the enemy hits Joseph and puts him in a pit, ripping up the coat of many colors. It is only by staying in The Word, Jesus, in God, that we are able to fight off this attack of the enemy. We have to have an intimate relationship with Holy Spirit knowing how to hear God so that we can fight the attacks. The description of the bones of bronze and bars of iron indicate the deep place of captivity, lies in which the enemy wants to keep you captive and it is to come against the anointing, The Call of God on your life. This is depicted in Isaiah 45:1-3 (which God led me to do a teaching on the next great awakening, placed on our website 22is22.com). 1THUS SAYS the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held to subdue nations before him, and I will unarm and ungird the loins of kings to open doors before him, so that gates will not be shut. 2I will go before you and level the mountains [to make the crooked places straight]; I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut asunder the bars of iron. 3And I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, Who calls you by your name. Isaiah 45:1-3 AMP. Cyrus, means lord and it is the “anointed one of God” here in Isaiah 45. God indicates that He has a chosen vessel whereby He will deliver His people from their captivity and bondage. Therefore, Cyrus who is anointed will subdue nations and ungird the loins of kings, stripping them of their power. However, here the ungirding that can be demonstrated is the ungirding of the Behemoth from the lies in which he brings against you in the attack. And it is in that place to where it feels as though you might be swallowed up by the lies of the enemy in utter discouragement and besieged on every front that it’s as if you feel as though you might be swallowed up in the belly of the enemy much like Jonah in the belly of a fish. However, it is by the Word, Jesus, in us that we press into shifting from a position where it is merely on paper to where it is infused into our being, it becomes revelation within us, we wake up to the illumination of God’s Word! It is by that revelation that we walk in the anointing in great authority and power through God’s Holy Spirit of Christ in us, that we become the sword in God’s hand, we are like a Sword of a mighty man! Zechariah 9:13. However, the only way to become that Sword in God’s hand to slay Behemoth we have to enter the stronghold of God’s hope, Zech 9:12. We have to become the Sword in which God cuts asunder the iron bars and breaks the bronze doors in which the enemy has been keeping us and our destiny in place of captivity. We move from being complacent to being violent!! The Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force!! We see this Sword God uses to slay Behemoth in Job 40: 19 19 He is the first of the ways of God; Only He who made him can bring near His sword. However, when we return to God’s Hope which does not disappoint, throwing off the cares of this world that would ensnare us and make us do works in our own righteousness, then we take own God’s might, God’s power, God’s spirit to do all of the work and it is not by our power or might we walk into our destiny. It is necessary to come to this breaking place where you realize there is nothing good in you but Jesus and you do nothing except for what God tells you to do. Look at Job. Job looked broke, busted and disgusted at the time when his friends are assailing him about his position, his plight, his circumstance. The attack of Behemoth will do the same against us! However, let’s look at how we enter God’s hope and become the Sword whereby He brings victory into our hands in Zechariah 9. 12Return to the stronghold [of security and prosperity], you prisoners of hope; even today do I declare that I will restore double your former prosperity to you. 13For I have bent Judah for Myself as My bow, filled the bow with Ephraim as My arrow, and will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and will make you [Israel] as the sword of a mighty man. 14And the Lord shall be seen over them and His arrow shall go forth as the lightning, and the Lord God will blow the trumpet and will go forth in the windstorms of the south. 15The Lord of hosts shall defend and protect them; and they shall devour and they shall tread on [their fallen enemies] as on slingstones [that have missed their aim], and they shall drink [of victory] and be noisy and turbulent as from wine and become full like bowls [used to catch the sacrificial blood], like the corners of the [sacrificial] altar. 16And the Lord their God will save them on that day as the flock of His people, for they shall be as the [precious] jewels of a crown, lifted high over and shining glitteringly upon His land. 17For how great is God's goodness and how great is His beauty! And how great [He will make Israel's] goodliness and [Israel's] beauty! Grain shall make the young men thrive and fresh wine the maidens. Zechariah 9:12-17 AMP. God brings us into a place whereby we become the Sword in His hand that cuts us out of the place of captivity, of bondage, to the enemy’s schemes and plots that is trying to steal our hopes and dreams God has given us and cuts asunder the enemy!!! God brings us into overflow into our blessings! We will look at this further in the next note but then we will also look at the ultimate revelation of why Leviathan and Behemoth strike and what God’s ways are to allow the attack of the enemy and bringing His judgment so He can activate the manifestation of His covenant with us!
